Elizabeth’s journey is truly remarkable. Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at just 10 years old, she transformed her personal challenge into a mission of empowerment. Today, the organization highlights the stories of over 1.9 million Americans living with Type 1 Diabetes, offering support and hope to those affected while raising funds for a cure.
From her early days as a dance student at Millennium Middle School in Sanford, Florida, to founding Touched by Type 1, Elizabeth’s resilience and determination embody the spirit of the organization’s mission.
